We’re delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Corran Ferry Infrastructure Improvement Scheme (CFIIS). This major landside infrastructure programme will transform one of the Highlands’ most important transport links.
Delivered for The Highland Council and supported by the Inverness & Highland City-Region Deal, the scheme will enable the introduction of a new electric ferry and deliver vital shoreside and marine infrastructure on both the Ardgour and Nether Lochaber sides of the Corran Narrows for a new electric ferry.
Our works will include new slipways, an overnight berthing structure, breakwater construction, marshalling, and parking areas. The scheme will upgrade active travel routes as well as new public facilities and requires extensive marine dredging and power infrastructure to support electric ferry operations.
This project represents a significant step toward delivering a more sustainable, resilient, and future proof ferry service for the communities across Loch Linnhe of Lochaber.
We’re proud to play a part in shaping the next chapter of transport connectivity in the Highlands.
