Works included the design and construction of 6 hectares of heavy-duty container storage hard standings comprising 470mm Cement Bound Granular Material (CBGM) pavement and brick paviours adjacent to the fully operation Berth 3.
Due to the sites remote location and limited material supply we utilised our in-house concrete batching plant to produce 30,000m3 of quality assured CBGM on site. All aggregates and cement were brought to site by sea. Utilising our own batching plant and technicians allowed us to maintain high levels of quality in the CBGM as this has been inherently problematic in other commercial ports.
