The builds comprised of installation of 110mm and 54mm ducting in footway/carriageway; construction of reinforced and non-reinforced concrete and modular chambers; installation of 12f, 28f, 144f and 288f hosted through both new and existing UG infrastructure and splicing, testing and commissioning of cables and joint enclosures.
Charles Brand delivered FTTP networks for 137,000 premises, across 63 villages and towns. Up to 65 crews were deployed at any given time, with a total of 193km of new duct and 456km of UG cabling installed.
James leads all pre-construction activity including Business Development, Supply Chain Engagement, Preparation of PQQs, Tenders and Managing Multi-Disciplinary Teams. A graduate of the Queens University of Belfast, James is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, specialising in infrastructure and marine engineering.
